(Fairfax, Va.)—Dexter S. Umekubo, CLU, ChFC, Senior Managing Partner of Salina, KS based Producers XL has been named Chairman of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) for 2012.
“Dex will be an enthusiastic and driven leader,” said NAILBA Executive Director Jack Chiasson. “His tireless efforts on behalf of NAILBA’s legislative affairs, his commitment to the brokerage community, and his strategic vision will serve NAILBA members well in the coming year.”
Umekubo will be joined on the Executive Committee by Raymond Phillips, Jr., CLU, LTCP, President of Pittsburgh’s Brokers Source, Ltd. in the role of Chairman Elect and Barbara Crowley, President and CEO of West Des Moines-based Brokers Clearing House, Ltd as NAILBA’s Secretary/Treasurer. Christi M. Daughenbaugh of Dallas-based Borden Hamman Agency will remain on the Executive Committee as Immediate Past Chairman for 2012.
“The collective industry experience and commitment to the brokerage community of our new Executive Committee is impressive,” said Chiasson. “NAILBA is fortunate to have such strong, capable leadership in place to strengthen our voice as the national association of life, health and annuity insurance distributors.”
