(Fairfax, Va.) On Sunday, September 7, representatives of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) presented How to Underwrite that “Tough Case” as part of the 2008 NAIFA Convention and Career Conference.
“NAILBA is extremely pleased to have been invited to participate in NAIFA’s annual meeting,” stated NAILBA Executive Director Jack Chiasson, CMP. “We are committed to maintaining regular communication with NAIFA so that we can stay abreast of partnership opportunities that are designed to help members of both organizations.”
Mark Rosen, CLU, Underwriters Brokerage Service; Gary S. Dworkin, CLU, RHU, Dworkin Associates, Inc.; Gene Zimmerlink, MetLife; and Christi Daughenbaugh, Borden Hamman Agency, provided participants with information on the tools available to help your agents get difficult cases placed.
“BGA’s typically represent anywhere from 3-50 insurance companies and allow licensed insurance agents to have access to and represent multiple insurance carriers with the intent of helping them find the most appropriate product for a client,” stated panel moderator and NAILBA Secretary Christi Daughenbaugh. “BGAs provide agents with product expertise, case design expertise, underwriting expertise and case management support. Our main goal is to help the agent find business.”
