NAILBA Launches APS Summary Course

(Fairfax, Va.) In order to assist brokerage general agencies place more business and control costs, the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) is pleased to announce the launch of its new APS Summary Course.

“NAILBA research demonstrates that one of the most cumbersome procedures in the entire application pipeline is the informal process,” stated NAILBA’s Chairman of the Board Doug Mishkin.  “The NAILBA APS Summary Course helps make both BGAs more efficient in submission and carriers more effective and timely in their tentative offers.”

In the APS Summary Course, brokerage general agency staff will acquire the basic and fundamental knowledge and insight needed to review medical records from attending physicians, clinics and hospitals, and to be able to extract the essential information underwriters need from those medical records to be able to determine an insurance applicant's insurability.

“The NAILBA APS Summary Course allows agencies to be more in control of their own processes, so that they can handle applications more quickly,” continued Mishkin.

For more information on the NAILBA APS Summary Course, contact Michele Liston at (703) 383-3081 or mliston@nailba.org .
