NAILBA Adds Meetings Director to Staff

August 21, 2007 (Fairfax, Va.) The National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) welcomed Michele Liston, CMP to the staff as its new director of meetings and conventions.

“Michele is a welcome addition to the NAILBA team as we embark on our new vision for the future,” said NAILBA Executive Director Jack Chiasson. “She brings to the table an innate gift for seeing both the big picture and the small details—necessary qualities for any meeting planner.”

A veteran association executive and certified meeting professional with nearly 20 years experience, Liston has led meeting and convention planning efforts for large industry groups.

Most recently, Michele was the director of convention and conferences for the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA).  Previous to SGIA, Michele was responsible for meetings and conventions at organizations such as the Newspaper Association of America and the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association (ASHA).

“NAILBA is fortunate to have someone with Michele’s qualifications and experience ready to step in to manage NAILBA’s number one member benefit—its meetings program,” said Chiasson. “I have no doubt that she will contribute significantly to our continued growth.”
