ABOUT NAILBA
NAILBA is a nonprofit trade association with over 370 member agencies in the U.S. and Canada, representing over 250,000 producers who deliver four billion dollars in life insurance premiums annually.

NAILBA exists to further the growth and success of independent insurance brokerage distribution.

BY THE NUMBERS

• NAILBA members are licensed, on average, in 31 states.
• NAILBA member agencies represent, on average, 1450 agents.
• In 2008, each NAILBA member agency represented, on average, $13.3M of written annualized premium.
• NAILBA member agencies employ, on average, 13 full-time and 1 part-time staff members.
• NAILBA members hold direct reporting wholesale brokerage general agent contracts with an average of 17 insurance carriers.
• Almost half of all insurance agents write over 75% of their business through a brokerage general agency. Seventy percent of brokerage distribution sales in this country come from NAILBA member agencies.
• Over 60% of insurance agents write at least two product lines through a BGA, including life insurance, health insurance, annuity, and long term care products.
