NAILBA Introduces First-Ever Agency Management Institute

(Fairfax, Va.) The National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) announced its inaugural Agency Management Institute (AMI), designed to provide educational programming to agency staff of all levels, will be held in Lombard, Illinois, May 28-29, 2009.

“Through a recent educational assessment survey, NAILBA identified both staff training and product training as areas key to a BGA’s success,” stated NAILBA Chairman Gary Dworkin, CLU, RHU.  “This program responds directly to those needs.”

This one-of-a-kind conference, tailored to the independent brokerage industry, offers tools to better manage caseloads, tips on working smarter and more efficiently, information on the latest underwriting trends, and numerous opportunities to network with peers at brokerage agencies across the country.

In addition to these formal educational opportunities, the AMI will also feature the NAILBA Product Training University, which offers attendees product presentations followed by round-table “speed-dating” where attendees will have the opportunity to meet with company representatives on a small-group basis to discuss that company’s products and services related to the product type.

The following workshops have been confirmed for this year’s event:

    * How to Talk to an Underwriter
    * Trends in Underwriting
    * APS Summarization
    * File Building
    * Case Management in the 21st Century
    * Philosophies of Case Management

“It is essential for BGAs to provide their staff the resources they need to help them be successful in today’s changing marketplace,” stated Dworkin.  “Through the workshops that have been created for the AMI, agency staff will receive information that will help increase office efficiencies, improve placement ratios, and ultimately positively impact their agency’s bottom line.”
